Reading progress update: I've read 63 out of 358 pages.
I'm having mixed feelings about this book. However, that could be because I'm not too fond of the one of the character's whose perspective it's from. Right now, it looks like it's following Kwan and Olivia. I get the sense that Olivia has a love-hate relationship with Kwan, especially leaning on the 'hate' side. However, at the same time, I know that I don't have an issue reading about characters I don't like. It's another one of those things that can be refreshing to see. I guess it's just that Olivia makes me mad maybe I suppose. I don't know. Probably more to talk about once I read more.
With Kwan it seems like her sections that she narrates are in stream of consciousness for one and they flow seamlessly from Olivia's.
What I mean is that you can be reading from Olivia's perspective, Olivia can have or remember a conversation with Kwan, and then you're in Kwan's perspective, if that makes any sense.
