"Genres" by Sharon Cullars -- A Book Review

So, I received this book from the author, and I'm so glad that I got it. It was amazing. Just completely amazing. There are so many positive things that I can say about it:
1. It didn't have a lot of that "icky", creepy thought thing that I see in a lot of Interracial Romance Novels. If you're "old" to IR novels or you've read one before, you might know what I'm talking about. If you're new to them, well....Basically, in some of them, I kind of notice thoughts or inward monologue that have either a: the "hero" so glad that he's with/found a black heroine, not a heroine who he likes who is black, but it focuses more on the fact that she's black more so than the fact that she has something interesting him(other than her race). It's just *shudders*
2. As the book says, it's "genres". It's a collection of short stories; each one is different and has sometimes, different but similar themes. It's quite vast and some of them are "out there". Some were even more "out there" than even I wanted to go.
3. It's just freaking awesome. 'Nuff said.
4. I really can't think of anything else. The writing was superb, and it was diverse. A lot of the stories were different, and while some I could see where the author was going, most of them I couldn't. It was pretty well written.
