Tempted

Tempted - Megan Hart Tempted both was and wasn't what I expected. Obviously, if you've seen the alternate cover or read the synopsis, you kind of know what this is about. A married couple have the husband's friend stay over the summer and shenanigans ensue. Ah, here is where the plot thickens! Anne, the wife, tries to play clean-up crew for everyone--her husband, her family, her in-laws. She's the person who fixes everything so much to the point that she consistently puts other people's feelings above her own. James, the husband, is a bit cliche', but not too much--he's occasionally aloof when it comes to Anne sometimes, he has this "Well,you-should=do-it" or "She's-not-trying-to-bad-stuff toward his mom, etc., etc. And then there is Alex, who serves as someone BOTH of them kind of need, he soothes both of them if that makes sense, at least in my opinion. With James, it's this sense of friendship and that previous closeness. With Anne, he is the jump start to make her fight back, and say that it's okay to not be able to fix everything, he noticed things about her that either James didn't or he ignored.

And honestly, while this book was erotic and did have menage scenes, it focused more so on the characters, specifically Anne and her transition from who she was at the beginning of the book to who she is at the end. I thought that was actually kind of good, not that I have something against erotica/erotic fiction. However, watching her change and all of that was good too in my opinion.

All in all, it was a good book. I liked it.
